My Journey

When I first started out on my journey of becoming a WAHM (Work At Home Mom), I was so excited by the notion that I could easily make more money sitting at my computer than I could with any traditional job. It became my mission to find exactly the right opportunity for me because I needed to be able to stay home with my children. I have three children, two with special needs, and the ONE job I had that allowed me to work non-traditional hours that would fit the needs I had with my kids, closed their doors due to economic hardships.


That was 3 years ago.


During the past three years, I have bounced around the internet trying every opportunity that interested me. I've spent an unmentionable amount of money purchasing all the "How-To-Guides" and buying all the books. I've lost an enormous amount of time and a river full of tears. I was desperate to find anything that I could earn money with working from home while making the same income I had made before. The excitement about possibly making more had dwindled. I just knew that I needed to make ANY income at this point.


It seemed like the harder I tried, the more impossible it was becoming.


The one opportunity that kept surfacing during all my trials of mlm's and direct sales was Affiliate Marketing. I knew that this was what I was interested in doing, but I could never get the hang of it. So, rather than researching this avenue, I'd wander off into the world of dead end work from home schemes, spending more time, money and tears. And not getting anywhere. Not learning anything.


Finally it dawned on me. That was it! I wasn't learning anything! I am the type of person who needs One on One training and support. I researched Affiliate Marketing differently. I needed to go to "school". I needed a teacher.



By some miracle, I found Wealthy Affiliate and I found much more than a teacher. I found support, guidance and most importantly, motivation. I definitely needed that! I had started to feel as if this whole thing was hopeless and I would never be able to "get it right". Now, I feel excited again. I feel like - No - I KNOW I can do this! I just needed to find the right resources.
